It was announced on the North American market on the 25/1/07. The Olympus FE-240 will be sold at a retail price of 237in the United States, no bad for all this technology. This nice camera measures 91 x 55 x 17 mm and is weighting only 145 g. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 640 x 480. The lens's sensor of the FE-240 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter. Olympus added a digital zoom on its FE-240 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 70 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the FE-240 was set at 1/2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Olympus FE-240 camera has an internal storage of 20 mb and can be extended with external storage by using xD Picture Card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the FE-240 is measuring 2.5 ".
