It was unveiled on the North American market on the 24/8/06. The SP-510 UZ delivers a maximum resolution of 3072 x 2304. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Olympus SP-510 UZ has been set at 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 7.1 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the SP-510 UZ is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter. Olympus included a digital zoom on the SP-510 UZ with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays .
The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 60 cm. The min. shutter speed of the SP-510 UZ was set at 15 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera being a very useful function. The LCD screen of the SP-510 UZ measures 2.5 ". A video out plug exists letting you see your pictures on television.
