Olympus launches its new conception, the Olympus D-390 which is a great camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced in the US on the 02/3/03. The Olympus D-390 will be sold at a retail price of 150in the US, a great deal. The D-390 can be set to a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Olympus D-390 is set at 4:3, making a total of 1.9 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the D-390 is a CCD of dimensions 1/3.2 " and uses a RGB color filter. Olympus added a digital zoom on its D-390 with an internal flash being very common in new cameras .

The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the D-390 is 1/2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. Movies are supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Olympus D-390 has an internal memory of 16 mb extendable with external storage with xD Picture Card. The LCD screen of the D-390 is measuring 1.6 ". A video out plug exists allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television.
