Olympus arrives this year with its new conception, the Olympus Stylus 820 which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was unveiled in North America on the 23/8/07. It can also be set at a lower resolution of Ultra Compact. The lens's sensor of the Stylus 820 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.3 " and uses a RGB color filter. Olympus added a digital zoom on its Stylus 820 with an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range is 70 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Stylus 820 was set at 4 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds.

Movies are supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Olympus Stylus 820 has an internal storage space of 47 mb and can be extended with external storage by using xD Picture Card + Internal. The LCD screen of the Stylus 820 is measuring 2.7 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
