Olympus is back with its new model, the Olympus Stylus 730 which is a special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown on the North American market on the 24/8/06. This nice camera measures 96 x 62 x 21 mm and has for weight 190 g. The Stylus 730 offers a maximum resolution of 3072 x 2304. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Olympus Stylus 730 is 4:3, making a total of 7.1 mega pixels. The sensor on the Stylus 730 is a CCD which measures only 1/2.3 " and uses a RGB color filter.

Olympus implemented a digital zoom on the Stylus 730 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Stylus 730 was set at 4 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Olympus Stylus 730 includes an internal memory of 22 mb extendable by using xD Picture Card + Internal.

The LCD screen available on the Stylus 730 measures 3.0 ". There is also a video out output available letting you see your pictures on television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
