Olympus arrives this year with its new conception, the Olympus Stylus 1200 which is a special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was shown on the North American market on the 23/8/07. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 3264 x 2448, 2560 x 1920, 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x768, 640 x 480. The sensor on the Stylus 1200 is a CCD which measures 1/1.72 having a RGB color filter. Olympus included a digital zoom on the Stylus 1200 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 60 cm.

The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Stylus 1200 is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Olympus Stylus 1200 has an internal memory of 47 mb extendable by using xD Picture Card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Stylus 1200 is measuring 2.7 ". There is also a video out output available making it handy to watch pictures on your television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
