Olympus unveils its new camera, the Olympus SP-320 which is a special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in the US on the 26/1/06. The Olympus SP-320 is sold at a price of 271in the US, no bad for all this technology. This model measures 100 x 65 x 35 mm while it weights only 230 g. The SP-320 delivers a maximum resolution of 3072 x 2304. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2288 x 1712, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Olympus SP-320 has been set at 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 7.1 mega pixels.

The internal sensor on the SP-320 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " using a RGB color filter. Olympus included a digital zoom on the SP-320 and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 20 cm. The min. shutter speed of the SP-320 was set at 15 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model being a very useful function. The Olympus SP-320 has an internal memory of 25 mb extendable with external storage with xD Picture Card + Internal.

The LCD implemented in the SP-320 measures 2.5 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
