Olympus strikes back with its new model, the Olympus D-630 Zoom which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented on the North American market on the 17/2/05. The Olympus D-630 Zoom will be sold for 240in the United States, a very fair price. The D-630 Zoom offers a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1920. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Olympus D-630 Zoom has been set at 4:3, making a total of 4.9 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the D-630 Zoom is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter.

Olympus implemented a digital zoom on the D-630 Zoom with an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 60 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the D-630 Zoom is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported in this version being a very useful function. The Olympus D-630 Zoom has an internal memory of 14 mb extendable with external storage with xD Picture Card + Internal.

The LCD implemented in the D-630 Zoom measures 2.0 ". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported.
