Olympus launches its new model, the Olympus D-395 which is an exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown on the North American market on the 18/3/04. The Olympus D-395 has been launched at a price of 70in the United States, no bad for all this technology. This nice little piece of technology measures 110 x 62 x 38 mm while weights 210 g. The D-395 has for maximum resolution 2048 x 1536. It also supports a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Olympus D-395 is 4:3, for a total of 3.1 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the D-395 is a CCD which measures 1/2.7 " with a RGB color filter.

Olympus implemented a digital zoom on the D-395 and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the D-395 is 2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/800 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Olympus D-395 camera has an internal storage of 16 mb extendable with xD Picture Card.
